Ohio Heroes Outdoors Initiative INC is a 501 C (19) nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. We also extend our support to local First Responders seeking community and relaxation through relaxing outdoor activities and team building events.
Whether you are interested participating in or volunteering to support one of our events we would love to welcome you.
If you're looking for something a little slower pace, feel free to stop by for a carton of free range eggs, or fresh picked vegetables before leaving.
Mission, Vision, Testimony
Through recreational, educational, and supportive endeavors, it is our goal to address the challenges faced by those with service-connected physical or invisible wounds through team building activities, individual enrichment, or on-site mentorship through individual or group sessions with licensed partners. Our activities, which range from paintball and outdoor archery to gardening and caring for chickens producing farm to table eggs.
Our hope is that through these outdoor activities our local Heroes are reminded; they are valued, appreciated and we are grateful for their commitment to serve our nation and/or community.

Founded by a retired service member, our initiative unites the Hero community through diverse activities promoting physical and emotional healing.

Gardening
Community gardening offers a chance for participants to reconnect with nature, learn sustainability practices, and cultivate friendships in a nurturing environment.
Archery
Outdoor archery sessions provide a relaxing yet challenging activity that helps improve focus and precision while encouraging social interaction within the Hero community.
Paintball
Join us for thrilling paintball adventures that promote teamwork and camaraderie among participants. This exhilarating activity fosters connections while offering a fun escape.
Animal Care
Care for live chickens and participate in egg production, allowing participants to engage in rewarding farming experiences while learning valuable life skills.
